GRIEF FACILITATORS TRAINING
The St. Croix Chaplaincy Association welcomes volunteers to be part of a team of 2-3 volunteers who facilitate grief support groups. Training is provided in individual and group settings.
CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT (CISM)
Trained leaders are available to provide confidential, non-evaluative support to those who may have been involved in a critical incident. A critical incident is any situation or event that evokes unusually strong emotional responses that may interfere with a person's ability to function. CISM is an organized approach to help facilitate a healthy recovery after such an incident.
Participants have the opportunity to recount their involvement in the critical incident and to express their thoughts and feelings about the traumatic event. Educational components of the debriefing process encourage participants to find healthy ways to manage their stress.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
- Participation in Healthcare Ethics Advisory Committee
